Steampunk Challenge at Crafting By Designs

Come play over at CRAFTING BY DESIGNS! The theme this week is Steampunk, and you know Lunagirl has lots of great steampunk images to play with. The CBD Design Team used my "Steampunk Girls Ready for Adventure" collage sheet for inspiration, and came up with some fun and beautiful creations. Go check it out, and link up your own!

Below are Michele's gorgeous contributions Art From The Well
See you over at the challenge!

Celebrate in February

February means Valentine's Day AND African-American history month... So isn't this perfect?

Michele Storms is a very inspired and very busy lady... She has kindly shared these new creations using images from the newly expanded collection of African-American images from Lunagirl.

I love the combination of silver snowflake and silver heart doily she used... and of course the lovely vintage Paris image.

The one below is a digital piece called "Old Fashioned Girl." It reminds me of old letters and the sweet sadness of time passing.

Share your work celebrating February!

All you need is Love

Thanks to Michele for these sweet tags featuring images from the "new expanded" African-American vintage photos collection! The theme is Love... and don't we all need that message these days. Michele does beautiful work.

ANIMALS at Tag Tuesday!

The animals are on the loose over at Tag Tuesday for the next couple of weeks... Lunagirl is sponsoring their challenge, and Michele Storms is hosting!

Michele has chose the theme ANIMALS, which is always fun :-)

Here are two tags she has created to get everyone started... Featuring some Lunagirl zoo animals paired with alphabet letters and other lovely elements...

The winner of this challenge will receive my Lunagirl Zoo Animals digital collage sheet as a prize!

Go see over at  Tag Tuesday, get inspired and link up your tags!

Bellydance Moo by Michele

Here is a little "happy" from Michele Storms -- a lovely little "moo" featuring a dancer from my Lunagirl digital collage sheet called Bellydance 3. I like the black-and-white background, especially the music notes, appropriate for a dancer!

This is actually Mata Hari -- an image from an antique French postcard, which I tinted with some bright colors. Love the red and how Michele has played with bright shades on B&W.

Birds and Nests Challenge at Tag Tuesday

I want to give another little reminder / nudge to check out the current challenge over at Tag Tuesday ~ the theme being BIRDS & NESTS.

Always a favorite theme for me! And so perfect this time of year ~ whether your birds are twitter-pating and nesting yet, or you are still waiting for the snow and ice to melt, it is officially Spring (in the Northern hemisphere at least!)

And isn't this a wonderful reason (as if I needed one) to share this uniquely fabulous and creative tag by Michele Storms? Dodo stamp by madrat rubber (the dodo bird illustration from Alice in Wonderland!) collaged with eggs and nests by Lunagirl and other lovely vintage elements. Love the background paper...and that moth in such a soft pale green...

Happy Spring to you!

Rockin' some Hats over at Tag Tuesday Challenge

Check out a fun challenge happening over at TAG TUESDAY... The ever-fabulous Michele Storms is hosting this week, and her theme is HATS & HEADGEAR.

Here are two tags Michele has created for this theme... and below that a brand-spankin-new digital collage sheet I created, inspired by this challenge. This "Do You Like My Hat?" digital collage sheet will be the prize for this challenge!

Thanks to Michele for hosting and sharing ~ Go to TAG TUESDAY and join the fun!

Possibilities...

Apologies for being AWOL these past few weeks... other activities and passions took over my time and attention! I promise I will be back more often in 2017.

For now, I wanted to hop over and share this card created by Michele Storms for her son's birthday, using an image from Lunagirl African-American Images CD.

Christmas in September at Crafting by Designs!

Crafting by Designs current challenge is themed "Get ready for Christmas!" The fact that we're starting to think about Christmas (when I swear 2016 JUST started) is terrifying, isn't it? Guess that's my scare for Halloween... it's "almost" Christmas? :-D

I always enjoy sponsoring at CBD... I hope you'll visit and join in the fun.

Below is Michele's snowy winter creation for the Crafting by Designs challenge, to inspire (and maybe slightly scare) you!

Beautiful work from Michele for TAG TUESDAY challenge!

Some cuteness from Michele Storms of Art from the Well blog ... love this tag she created for the Cats & Dogs challenge at Tag Tuesday! Kitty, dog, moon and tea-partiers' bodies from Lunagirl :-)

Three more days in August means three more days to enter my August "Anything Goes" challenge.

I've decided this will be my last Lunagirl challenge for at least a few months, so don't miss your chance to get in on it :-)

I'll still be sponsoring challenges on other sites, fyi, and I'll still be here blogging... telling you about new collage sheets, sharing the occasional freebie images, and musing in general. So don't go away, keep visiting!

As always, I want to thank the amazing Lunagirl Moonbeams design team... there are links over along the side of the page where you can visit their blogs...
And here is a last August piece from Vicki Romaine of the DT... a pretty card perfect for the end of August and the beginning of Autumn...

"Anything Goes" for 8 more days

Psst, we're having an "anything goes" August here, so get busy creating and link up your entries in the challenge! Pass it on!

ANYTHING GOES... Join my August challenge!

I've never done an Anything Goes challenge before (surprisingly!) and I'm really enjoying all the variety in the entries and the DT creations. Check it out, and join in!

Here is more inspiration from the DT... These are all rather serene, don't you think? They suit my mood well today, on this lazy late summer day. The day is hot but the light is slanted in that August way, and the summer locusts are in full chorus, so I know autumn is quietly moving closer.
