I love the colors in this pretty vintage sewing themed card by Michele Storms ~ that dusky rose pink is so vintage, and I especially like the pink roses, stripes and tape measure with the aqua background. Such a pretty shabby-romantic color combination. Michele used some images from my Lunagirl Sew Shabby Pink collage sheet, combined with other beautiful vintage style imagery and some charming little buttons! I wish buttons were still 10 cents...

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope you're wearing green so no one will pinch you today (does that only apply to us Irish, or to everyone?)  I have a great deal of Irish ancestry on both sides, but one day a year I'm all Irish, of course.

"I used a number of my scraps today with this card.  The bumpy green paper on the side of the card is a piece of homemade paper I had made about two years ago and it was in my scrap drawer.  I used the lovely LG "freebie" this time.  The little chick and duckling were not on the image I added them so the little girl could be looking at them.  Completing the card is the sentiment and a leftover Christmas bow.  This card is perfect for both St. Patty's day as well as Easter./ Spring."

"I am a little bit into jewellery making at the moment and when I saw the images from your Shabby Green collage sheet, I could not resist to make some little scrabble tile necklaces.I hope you like them."

"These images are wonderful and really have such a lovely Spring mood. I made a little card using images from the Shabby Green collage sheet embellishing is with some Stickles around the edges, some ric-rac ribbon aand a tiny resin flower."

"I placed the LG image on a solid green mat so it will pop from the green background.  Beige lace trims the side while flowers in the image are repeated with some in the corner of the card.  The sentiment was also printed in green from my computer."

This card by Vicki Romaine is so creative ~ I love the way she has layered the images to create a scene, and that she used a silhouette of the man with the umbrella.

Vicki writes:
"I decided to do this card with having the man with the umbrella looking at the Lunagirl French poster as if he were visiting in Paris and trying to decide what to do.  The background uses some scrap pieces of cardstock while the  image is on gold cardstock to make it pop."

Blue Backgrounds for a Blue Lady

The entries for the Lady Blue challenge are so pretty! I love looking at the entries together , all the blue ladies and shades of blue.  I'm liking this theme alot so far!

A few weeks ago I shared a shabby blue / turquoise background I had created by altering and recoloring some old shabby Victorian wallpaper.  I thought I would share it again for your "blue" projects.  I'm sharing it here in turquoise and also in a deeper blue.

TAGS challenge at the Cheerful Stamppad!

I'm very pleased to be sponsoring a challenge at Vicki Romaine's CHEERFULSTAMPPAD blog!

The theme is TAGS, and here is a pretty, feminine tag that Vicki has created.  She used images from a couple of Lunagirl collage sheets -- Victorian Elegance Tags and Women Vintage Labels -- complemented and enhanced with a beautifully distressed background and other embellishments.  I love the soft shabby French colors -- and look at the lady's crescent moon necklace!  It goes well with the curves of the frame around her.

Brand new ! 80 colorful varieties of vegetables and herbs, from authentic original unused seed packets. We have collected the ENTIRE 1920s set of 80 card packs from the Card Seed Company. The set we've collected is one of the few complete sets in existence, and as far as we know this COMPLETE SET of the digitized illustrations is not simply available anywhere else!

These packages were published by the long-defunct Card Seed Company, and printed by the Genesee Valley Lithography Company.

The Card Seed Company was located in what was then the garden seed capital of the United States -- Fredonia, New York. In the 1920s, this company published one of the most beautiful sets of lithographs in antique packaging.

Several unused sets of the packets were discovered in upstate New York decades ago, and these pristine originals are much sought after by collectors for their charming artwork, brilliant colors and distinctive design. We are proud to have collected an entire original set.

I've discovered a beautiful website and blog to share!

Lori Avery of Katie's Rose Cottage offers all kinds of lovely romantic and cottage chic treasures. (I love tags, you can use them for so many things, and these are so pretty.)


There are charming vintage flea market finds as well as lovely handmade tags, ribbon roses, sweet pendants and charms, and romantic items for your home, bed and bath, most created by Lori herself using vintage and/or reproduction vintage items and other beautiful embellishments.

Lori is a very nice lady, and if you love a vintage romantic, shabby chic look, her site is a great place to find the perfect gift for a friend or for yourself!
