I've collected images of Victorian corsets from antique catalogs, vintage ads, and other ephemera and clipart, and created this new digital collage sheet. I'm sure glad that these "undergarments" aren't expected anymore... I'm not sure I would have been willing to wear one! Of course, I won't even wear high heels. Have fun with these pictures ... collage sheet available at Lunagirl.com, along with hundreds of others.

New Digital Download: Vintage Photos of Sisters, Victorian Girls & Friends
The "All For the Girls" challenge at DigitallySweetChallenges inspired me to create TWO new digital collage sheets using vintage photos, available at Lunagirl.com. Called "Just Us Girls" (shown here) and Just Us Girls #2, these feature altered postcards and photographs of Victorian Edwardian women and children who are sisters, friends, companions. Little girls in party dresses, friends old and young, even some fabulous ladies in Halloween costumes (my favorite).
Sweet and fun, and perfect for the DSC challenge! They would also be perfect vintage printables for birthday cards, greeting cards, altered art projects, scrapbooking layouts, etc.
Hope you enjoy! Stay tuned for my new bellydancer/diva tag sheets....

More New Collage Sheets: Victorian Ladies & Children
Here are a couple more new digital collage sheets. These feature beautiful, colorful Victorian style die-cut images of women and children. The ladies are wearing some very elegant vintage fashions, including fancy hats and fans. The girls and boys are so sweet, in old-fashioned clothing, some with flowers. I've also included some little bundles and baskets of flowers (also antique die-cuts) because if I have extra space I like to include a little extra something! You can always see my newest releases at Lunagirl.com.

TAGS challenge at the Cheerful Stamppad!
I'm very pleased to be sponsoring a challenge at Vicki Romaine's CHEERFULSTAMPPAD blog!
The theme is TAGS, and here is a pretty, feminine tag that Vicki has created. She used images from a couple of Lunagirl collage sheets -- Victorian Elegance Tags and Women Vintage Labels -- complemented and enhanced with a beautifully distressed background and other embellishments. I love the soft shabby French colors -- and look at the lady's crescent moon necklace! It goes well with the curves of the frame around her.
Please do visit the CheerfulStamppad to see her full post about this tag and ENTER THE TAGS CHALLENGE!

A Charming Autumn Tag by Petra
Design Team member Petra Berendsen submitted this absolutely beautiful sample for your inspiration today. She created a lovely tag using a Lunagirl image of a lady walking in the autumn woods (I like the contrast of her dark dress against the golden leaves, and the book under her arm!). I just love the colors here in the pretty backgrounds and embellishments. They complement the colors in the central image so well. And she tried something a little different that turned out amazing: she created the little Fall leaves charm!
Petra writes: "I created a tag and did a little bit of experimenting. For quite a long while I have had some printable shrink plastic which I had not used before but it was just the right stuff to create a leave charm with one of your images. And I have to say I am quite pleased the way it turned out. The colours came out very nicely and the image is still pristine - even after the shrinking... Hope you like it."
It's gorgeous! Perfect inspiration on this bright Fall day.

Beach Fashions circa 1883
Here is a fascinating image of swimsuit fashions from a 1883 fashion magazine (from the Netherlands). De Gracieuse was published from 1862 to 1936 for fashion-conscious ladies, and featured clothing of all types for all occasions, inspired by the latest Paris fashions. Interestingly, the magazine also presented examples of embroidery, knitting, and other needlework, intended for embellishing the clothing and shoes. I love those funny little beach slippers (although they don't seem very practical). Those appear on many of the Victorian and Edwardian postcards as well ~ I guess ladies simply did not go barefoot!

Blog Challenge: Bathing Beauties
Time to start submitting your entries for the next Lunagirl Moonbeams Blog Challenge: Bathing Beauties! This theme could include the fabulous flapper bathing beauties you see here, or Victorian ladies in their ruffled vintage swimsuits, classical nudes emerging from the waves or the bath, even mermaids ...
This challenge (#3) will end at 11:55 pm on June 16 ~ The winner will be selected randomly and will receive a free Lunagirl digital collage sheet of his or her choice.
Be creative but stick to the theme (obviously) :)
Any craft or medium is OK,
No more than 3 entries from one person in each challenge, and
Please link back to my blog and/or Lunagirl.com on your site if you have one.
It's preferable that your entry be a new piece created for the challenge, but I'm not going to worry about that...
Of course I love if you use at least one Lunagirl product, but I'm not going to worry about that either so no rule there!
Most important is have fun, get creative, enjoy vintage.
To start your creative ideas going, here are some lovely bathing beauty creations by the Lunagirl Moonbeams Design Team!
