It is October and that means Halloween is on its way and things will start to get spooky... Mandy Chilvers created this spooky bird ATC for our Put A Bird On It challenge which continues this week!

Put A Bird On It: Second Week

Vicki Romaine is working on the altered card deck project also, and here are a pair of amazing rooster designs that are perfect for my Put A Bird On It challenge!  I am pretty fond of chickens (and yellow cats!) and I love the textures Vicki has used on her cards.

Michele Storm's love goddess with a bird, on this beautiful tag she created, reminds you to enter the Put A Bird On It challenge this week.

The challenge continues until Sunday noon CST, and you can put a bird on your creation -- any medium -- and link it up for a chance to win $10 shopping credit at Lunagirl.com.

It's a great chance to have some fun and maybe get some new images to play with.  We already have quite a few lovely entries, and I hope to see yours as well!

I've actually shared these lovely bird drawings before, a couple years ago, but I thought I would post them again for the Put A Bird On It challenge.

Journal Journey For A Cause

Free Vintage Hummingbird Image

The entries for my Put A Bird On It challenge are coming in and they are looking great!

To inspire you and maybe give you a little nudge to enter, I thought I would share some free bird images in vintage style.

For today, here is a little hummingbird. I originally found him on a Victorian Christmas card of all things. Now he lives on my Lunagirl Victorian Birds CD!

I love all kinds of birds, but hummingbirds are among my favorites -- who could resist them. We get them by the dozens during the summer.
