Artist Trading Coins

You've heard of Artist Trading Cards, and inchies and twinchies and moos and more. Well, now have you heard of Artist Trading COINS? These are fun, shareable, little altered art / mixed media creations on 2.5-inch circles.

The round/circular shape is a subtle shift in how you think about design. And something new is always a nice inspiration.

I've finally got around to creating a few new digital collage sheets with 2.5" circles. These are perfect for Artist Trading Coins, as well as pocket mirrors, coasters, etc. And of course you can also use them in any kind of project ~ fun for altered books and boxes, scrapbooking, etc.

See 'em all at Lunagirl.com! More to come (and I'm glad to take requests!)

Fascinating Faces... Second Week

Don't forget to enter my Fascinating Faces challenge!

The challenge continues until Thursday... there is so much you can do with this theme.

Here is some beautiful inspiration from members of the Design Team, Michele Storms and Vicki Romaine. They have used faces from Lunagirl digital collage sheets, combined with other images and elements, Lunagirl and otherwise, and created these two beautiful pieces.

Creative Challenge Theme: FASCINATING FACES

Welcome to my next challenge theme.. the theme is FASCINATING FACES.
The images I sent to the DT to work with this time featured faces that I find compelling in some way, because they are beautiful or mysterious or funny or quizzical, often because they are very expressive or because they make me wonder what that person was thinking! I think this will be a very inspiring theme... let's get creating!

CHALLENGE GUIDELINES:

Any craft or medium is OK.

Vintage style is encouraged but not required.

Use a Lunagirl image and your entry will count twice in the drawing!

Link to this blog and to Lunagirl.com on your site if you have one.

Prize:  Winner will be selected randomly to receive a $15 credit at Lunagirl.com!

Challenge ends at 2:00 pm CST on Thursday, April 30.

I love it when you use Lunagirl images, and I hope you'll go take a look at my collections... but that's not a requirement!  But do remember that if you use a Lunagirl image, you will be entered TWICE in the drawing! I welcome everyone and every style but also want to give a little something extra to my wonderful customers! Most important is have fun, get creative, and enjoy vintage style.

"This card shows the contrast of a busy and noisy background to the quiet and subtle face. Her face was gotten from a larger LG image. The background was created with various mixed media elements.  A sentiment is inside the card as there are so many elements on the front."

I made this one extra large so you could see the words that Shelby added to the white fabric draped around the woman ~ amazing!
