speaking of animals...

Last night I'm sitting down to start a post about the second week of the 'Animals' theme, and my husband comes in with .... a kitten! I have a definite weakness for all kitties, but I've already reached my established and agreed-upon limit of three cats. DH set this limit, so I was astonished when he brought Delilah home. Yes, my son has already named her. She is adorable and has an amazing personality. After bouncing all around the house all morning, she is now sleeping on a blanket by my feet. Do you (or my husband) REALLY believe I can give her away?
The only thing that might help me give her away to another good home, would be the fact that my eldest cat, Violet, is very displeased about this intruder...

FOLLOW UP: Upon closer examination, I have just decided that "Delilah" is a boy! I'm thinking "Eli."

Further Follow Up: His name is JASPER. :-)

  1. What a sweet little face...hopefully, Violet will come around and accept the newest member of your feline family.

    1. We'll see! Violet took almost a year to fully accept the two brother kitties I adopted a couple of years ago. And now they have a nice equilibrium where everyone's happy as long as they acknowledge Violet is the queen. So now we've upset the balance!

    2. This just proves my husband is a big softy ~ the kittie came up to him as he was leaving his school last night (he's a teacher) and she was 'so bouncy' he had to rescue her.

  3. How could anyone find him a different home after spending even 10 minutes with that precious face? lol

    1. Yep, he is pretty much irresistible, in both looks and personality! He's under my desk right now :-)
