New Collage Sheet: Forest Fairy Wings

I like to announce new items on the blog, and I'm afraid I've been a little neglectful of that lately.  So here is a new digital collage sheet I've created featuring some pretty fairy wings for spring and summer fairy-watching in the garden.

Some of you may have my "Wings for Wind and Water Fairies" which are mostly in shades of blue, cool green, and pink.  They are lovely and ethereal, like dragonfly wings, in various sizes.  The new design is called "Wings for Forest Fairies" and offers shades in "woodland" colors such as deeper greens and soft sepia browns/orange.  (No watermarks on the actual item, of course!)

I created these wings "from scratch" (rather than altering vintage pictures) so I'm especially proud to offer them to you and I hope you can have some fun with them!  More new products coming soon, I hope ~ so many ideas, so little time!

New Collage Sheet: Memories of Paris

I wish I had made this in time for the recent "Meet Me in Paris" challenge, but better late than never, right? Here is another Paris themed digital collage sheet, this one with lovely old tinted travel postcards of landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and the Arc de Triomphe d'Etoile, plus some inchies and a romantic French couple. Vintage Christmas: New Digital Collage Sheet

Another new collage sheet! Here are some "new" Christmas images taken from old postcards recently acquired from my uncle's attic. These aren't included on our Christmas CD, and I thought I would create a collage sheet just in time for holiday crafts. There are some really sweet images of children and animals, a pretty nativity card with nice colors, and I love the blue birds. New Collage Sheet: Maps!

Yet another brand new Lunagirl collage sheet design!  This one is created with fabulous fascinating maps adapted from antique books.  There are maps of the Eastern and Western hemispheres with illustrations of the signs of the zodiac and angels in the corners, a map of the ancient Mediterranean world, an ancient map of the ocean currents with Latin text, an 18th-century map of Nova Scotia and the St. Lawrence River with lovely calligraphic writing, plus "London and the Suburbs, Seventeenth Century". I can't believe it's March already! Here is a new collage sheet featuring women from paintings by Dante Gabriel Rossetti, one of the best-loved Pre-Raphaelite artists. The face in most of these paintings is that of Jane Burden Morris. Jane was the daughter of an English stableman and a housemaid, and grew up in poverty with very little education. Rossetti and fellow PreRaphaelite Burne-Jones "discovered" her while she was attending a theater performance.

She was model and muse for Dante Gabriel Rossetti and William Morris (whom she married). After her engagement to William Morris, Jane obtained a private classical education and basically reinvented herself. She was highly intelligent, a voracious reader and accomplished student of languages and music, and moved with ease and grace among artists, philosophers, political activists, and the upper classes. She and Morris lived an artistic, bohemian lifestyle at Kelmscott Manor in the Cotswolds. She may have been Rossetti's lover as well.
