Celebrate in February

February means Valentine's Day AND African-American history month... So isn't this perfect?

Michele Storms is a very inspired and very busy lady... She has kindly shared these new creations using images from the newly expanded collection of African-American images from Lunagirl.

I love the combination of silver snowflake and silver heart doily she used... and of course the lovely vintage Paris image.

The one below is a digital piece called "Old Fashioned Girl." It reminds me of old letters and the sweet sadness of time passing.

Share your work celebrating February!

Yellow Roses to brighten your day

The other day in the grocery store there was a bunch of yellow roses discounted at the floral counter... couldn't resist them. They brighten up these dreary days of January. So here are some to share with you! (Freebie!)

All you need is Love

Thanks to Michele for these sweet tags featuring images from the "new expanded" African-American vintage photos collection! The theme is Love... and don't we all need that message these days. Michele does beautiful work.

Lunagirl African American Images Collection EXPANDED

I'm proud to offer the collection of African American images I've created, because such images can be difficult to find. I haven't seen another collection like it, and it has been popular.

So, I'm excited to announce that I have been able to EXPAND the collection ... from 150 images to over 400. The new images are all vintage photos, mostly portraits. Some are cabinet cards, some are in frames, others are more like snapshots. Some are street scenes, a few are family portraits or baby pictures. New sample pics added to the listing (second half of samples).

Significantly enlarged folder of men and boys (98 new images), 138 new pictures of women and girls, and 18 photos of couples and families!

IF YOU ALREADY HAVE MY AFRICAN-AMERICAN IMAGES SET: Note that while I have added over 200 additional images, I have not increased the price. You can still download it for $9.95 (all my collections are download only now).

But, if you want ONLY the new images, I'm offering this "expansion pack" for $6:

This seems like a good time to say Thank You to all my Lunagirl customers! It's been almost 14 years now? I'm proud to have helped popular the world with digital vintage images for us all to enjoy!

Apologies for the lack of blog posts lately... I'm still here, and I'll try to post more often :-)

New Collage Sheet: Corsets

I've collected images of Victorian corsets from antique catalogs, vintage ads, and other ephemera and clipart, and created this new digital collage sheet. I'm sure glad that these "undergarments" aren't expected anymore... I'm not sure I would have been willing to wear one! Of course, I won't even wear high heels. Have fun with these pictures ... collage sheet available at, along with hundreds of others.

Anything Goes Challenge!

Join the "anything goes" challenge over at Creates and Makes challenge blog! It's open for the next month. Get inspired by the lovely work on display, share your creativity, have some fun (and maybe win the challenge!)
