Gothic Inspiration for You

Shelby Pizzarro Sisterhood of the Muse

More wonderfully Gothic inspiration from the Design Team... "The Letter"... digital collage art by Shelby Pizzarro.

I hope you'll visit her blog Sisterhood of the Muse to read the story she shares to go along with this image!

The weather here in the Eastern U.S. (where Shelby is and also where I am) has been rainy, dark, damp and gloomy this week ~ the gray skies are a perfect backdrop for the leaves that are just starting to turn yellow and red, and also a perfect atmosphere for the Gothic mood of our challenge!

I don't know what it's like where you are, but I hope you'll get inspired by the DT creations, or a moody song or spooky movie... or a Poe story, or an antique object or image you come across... maybe just by a rainy day... and join us for this challenge.

Something Special by Vicki! Collage Board

Vicki Romaine of the Lunagirl Moonbeams Design Team has outdone herself this week to create this amazing Great Gatsby-themed collage board featuring 1920s images and embellishments.  She has used several Lunagirl images plus a wonderful variety of found objects, such as keys and jewelry and Bingo tokens, and pretty backing papers.  She started with an old printer's tray.  I love these old trays and shadow boxes -- anything with lots of compartments!  This inspires me, I hope it inspires you as well!  Thanks, Vicki!

Don't forget to visit The Cheerful Stamppad to enter Vicki's blog challenges, and don't forget to enter your 1920s creation in my blog challenge!  Can't wait to see what you create.

Beautiful New "Garden Fantasy" Collage Sheets

We listed three new collage sheet designs yesterday, and they are so lovely.

The "Garden Fantasy" collage sheets feature flower fairy maidens and queens, angels, and little verses. Then there is the story of a little girl's daydream in the garden, specially adapted by Lunagirl.

These are now on our website and in our etsy shop: www.lunagirl.etsy.com.

The middle one doesn't show up too well in the samples, but if you go to the etsy shop you can find a larger sample image! (and the last picture below enlarges)

Featured Artist: *spark*your*imagination*

I wanted to share some of the lovely, whimsical collage/assemblage art created by Debrina and offered at *spark*your*imagination* !

She was the first I know of to begin creating "captured fairies" (in a jar or box), and her faeirieworld creations are a joy to behold.

This is my personal favorite (be sure to click to see it larger). It's called "Her Only Dream Was to Fly With the Birds" -- a beautiful delicate fairy dress waiting in somebody's closet?

You can see more examples of her work here, and be sure to visit *spark*your*imagination* for some lovely, unique gifts.

(There are some wonderful little collage art pendants there today!)
