In celebration of the Feast of the Epiphany, traditionally celebrated on January 6 (or the preceding Sunday), here is a lovely pre-Raphaelite painting by Burne-Jones showing the adoration of the magi. In many countries Christmas greenery is taken down on January 6 which is the Twelfth Day of Christmas. We always took our Christmas tree down at Epiphany. The time between Epiphany and Lent is the King's Cake season culminating in Mardi Gras!
